Emma is retired from breeding, but we like to be transparent. Emma had a severe injury to her left side as a puppy. This took years of rehab, but it can clearly be seen on x-ray and affected her ability to get OFA clearances. Her right hip and elbow (non injured side), was rated normal/good.
All of this documentation was provided to puppy owners before they committed to a puppy so they could make an informed decision about what they are comfortable with. The arthritis from the injury does affect her day to day, and for her comfort she has been retired from breeding. She will occasionally come out and play in the rally ring or run a hunt test, but she is retired from competition as well.
